Green Pest Services’ main focus is on providing you with stellar service and satisfaction guaranteed pest control. However, we also take and pride ourselves in community support and commitment to education. To demonstrate this, we decided to start a scholarship fund where we help a lucky high school graduate with their college education. Much to our surprise, not only did we receive so many incredible applications to our scholarship program, we were blown away by the brilliance of these young minds that we couldn’t pick just one candidate. After careful consideration, Green Pest Services has awarded the following FOUR high school seniors an excellence scholarship:

Devante Ralph for the Green Pest Services Scholarship

Devante's Senior Pic2

Devante recently graduated from Cambridge-South Dorchester high school and has been accepted to study at Rutgers University this fall. He plans on majoring in business administration and minoring in computer science. Devante describes himself as a well-rounded student athlete with accomplishments in the CSDHS varsity football team as a freshman, playing all four years for the Vikings. He also played lacrosse for two seasons and not only becoming their star athlete, he was also an honor roll student. He is considering playing sports at the college level.

Outside of school, Devante is very involved in organizations that help his community where he organized a jean drive that donated hundreds of pairs of jeans to homeless shelters as well as participating in church food and clothing drives for the past 4 years. Devante also volunteers with the Cambridge Fire Department. This ambitious young man sees himself owning a business in the future and hopes to give back to his hometown by providing its people with quality jobs. He believes that the greatest good he can do is empower others.

This summer, Devante plans on working at Dominos and Riverview at the Point Restaurant to save money for school. He will continue his involvement in church activities and volunteer work with the fire department until he leaves for school. He’ll probably spend some quality time with his little brother too. We are glad to support Devante in his higher education and know he will be a valuable contributor wherever he goes.
