Cat Kicker on the Loose

On May 25^th, 2021 in the Centennial Hills area of Las Vegas, Nevada, a ring camera captured video of a pest control salesman kicking a cat. The young man approaches the front of a home as a friendly-looking black cat trots up to greet him. The man appears to look around quickly, as though trying to be sure no one is watching, before bracing the side of the home to deliver a powerful kick to the cat, launching her off the porch and into the yard.

Luckily, the cat is okay following the incident and the owner has commented that she is now being kept indoors 24/7 to avoid any other situations like this. The video was uploaded on Ring’s ‘Neighbors App’ in order to warn others in the community of the dangerous, abusive individual, but the post soon went viral as public outrage, rightfully, ensued.

The Pest Control Company’s Response

In the aftermath of the video going viral, the sick, animal abuser was identified as a sales representative of a local pest control company called Williams Pest Control. Quickly, people descended upon the business, showering it with negative reviews and contacting the office in anger. The owner, Royce Williams, soon went on the local news to comment on the incident. In the segment, Williams stated that the company condemns the actions of the man in the video and that he is no longer employed with them due to his despicable actions.

‘Pest’ Control… NOT ‘Pet’ Control!

The Centennial Hills video is both unsettling and disturbing but, thankfully, it is a solitary incident. At Green Pest Services, we were beyond saddened to hear about what occurred and we openly condemn any such actions from anyone both within and outside of the pest control industry.
