Boric Acid
This is a flea control method that you need to be careful with, especially if you have small kids and/or pets in your house. While boric acid powder is not toxic to adults, it can sometimes be irritable for younger children and pets. Typically it is safe to use around humans, however.
Applying a boric acid treatment is very simple: all you have to do is dust your furniture and carpets with the powder and leave it for 24 hours. It’s recommended to take your children out for the day while you leave the boric acid to do its work. Once you come back, you’ll have to thoroughly vacuum your furniture, floors and the rest of the treated areas of your house and then wash everything that can be washed.
Boric acid treatments are alot of work when all is said and done, but it acts like a poison for the fleas and their larvae, helping to reduce your flea problems effectively.
