House Mouse

Example of House Mouse

These furry little friends have been portrayed as noble in many movies, yet there is nothing honorable about the house mouse. They chew through walls, spoil your food, and can cause a fire if they decide to gnaw into a wire. Damages to your home are not the only problem, mice also spread a variety of diseases that can make you ill. Leptospirosis, Salmonellosis and Lymphocytic Chorio-meningitis are just a few of the diseases you never want to get from a house mouse. They also reproduce quickly; one female mouse can have 7 to 8 litters of 6 new mice each year.

Signs of an Infestation

Though the house mouse is most active at dusk, you can see them running along your baseboards during the middle of the day. If you disturb piles of clothing or boxes, you might see one scurry away to seek a new hiding place. You will also notice rod shaped droppings and gnaw marks on cereal boxes and food containers. If you have a house mouse infestation, you need to protect your home and your family. Call Green Pest Services today.
