District of Columbia Spider Control
According to Spiders.us, there are approximately 39 species of spiders found in the District of Columbia. Many of their findings came from residents and visitors who submitted spider sightings as well as numerous scientific publications. With these 39 different species, this could mean that thousands of spiders are living in the city. This calls for spider control experts in the District of Columbia to come in and ensure the safety of their residents. We here at Green Pest Services are here to get rid of any of these pests whether they are in your home or business.
Venomous or Dangerous?
It’s never easy to tell if a spider is dangerous or not just by looking at it. However, we have a couple spiders that are extremely dangerous and venomous. The first is the Black Widow. A bite from this type could be deadly – so if you see a shiny black spider with a red hourglass figure, step away. Another spider that you want to look out for is the Brown Recluse. This spider is aggressive and a bite could lead to death. This spider has six eyes and is shaped like a dark violin. These two spiders are ones that you most definitely need to be cautious of. Other spiders are not as dangerous but will still leave you with lasting side effects. You will most likely find them in low traffic areas such as windows, ceilings and in cupboards.

“I have been using GPS for a few years now and they do a very good job. I particularly like that I can call them to do applications between scheduled service if I need to. (at no additional cost) I recommend them.”
